I have moved NOD on for Smith who I didn’t start with and happy with that move so far. Also brought in Bice, Ive missed his first price rise but think he will still make a lot of cash. Happy to have Lindsey back who I held and hoping FOS has a good game as have held him as well

I said above Id been lucky and got most of the good rookies but I have missed O’SUllivan at Geelong He would have been great instead of Paton. Hes one I would have loved to have jumped on

Gawn has a repreive with the news of FOS out. Will hold off and see what Henderson scores tonight and go from there. Was going to bring in Marshall for Gawn so hopefully Gawn comes good tonight for me . May also contemplate JHF to Rankine this week if Henderson scores OK to take FOS place. I have been lucky this year (and that’s all it is) to have had most of the good rookies

Yep, I check in and like to have have a read of what is on here a couple of times a week. Appreciate the effort you guys mak and read your opinions. I also have had stinky Sinclair join my team and Max is Gawn for me this week so watch him tonne up now. Does anyone else feel like they are shuffling players around and using up trades but your team is not really getting any better. Just lots of corrections and replacing injured rookies instead of upgrades. I feel when selecting our midfielders this year it may be best not to pick the No 1 and pick the 2nd tier ie Brayshaw instead of Serong, Dunkley instead of Neale etc, the tagger is killing their scores

2 trades for me this week. Luckily, I had all the main must-have rookies and was only trading in Ashcroft for Tsatis, but the news of Camporeale being dropped sees me bringing in Henderson as well. Trying to conserve my trades a little this year at the start, as even though I keep reading we should be aggressive with 40 trades, I remember the end of last year having only 1 trade left to save for finals and having my team finished as much as I could but still having 4-5 weeks left and the game was a little boring when I couldn’t do any trading. So trying to save my boosts for a few weeks if possible. Unfortunately, I have quite a few of the high break-even players and it was tempting to trade JHF but apart from Rankine, there was no one else to trade to. Will wait a week on Smith and see how he goes in Brisbane. Gawn to TDK and that extra cash was tempting as well. Good luck to all this week. Paton to Bice next week is in my plans

After round one I bought in Lindsey for Boxshall, was mad at myself as Lindsey had been in my team for most of the preseason but needed the cash to get some playing rookies on my bench. This week looking at Tstatis and FOS out and Ashcroft and maybe Henderson in although don’t know about Henderson’s job security. Will look at getting Bice in for Paton after his bye this week. Again I had Ashcroft in my initial team until the announcement he was the sub in his first game but coming in now. Does give me some cash to look at upgrades soon. Any intel on Henderson Neil, will he be dropped when Kosi becomes available? Tempting to bring in De Koning for Gawn after the weekend performance and the uncertainty with what is going on with him but will save a trade and hope he comes good. That cash could be handy for a later upgrade though.

If GWS did not have the bye this week I would have done Neale and PP for Callaghan and Smith but the bye puts the kabosh on that. Still might get rid of PP for Ashcroft or Lindsey so I can focus on Smith next week if needed. My defence line is OK with Roberts D5 and only one mid onfield so OK there. My forward line is my weakness

A fair start to the season for me with a score of 2084. My big letdown was Neale’s 45 and the PPepper score. I picked PP as as he was in the leadership group and he would be pretty assured of a spot however I did expect a higher score from him than his measly 18. He gets one more week to redeem himself. The 2 rookies I missed out on were Ashcroft (took him out when the news of sub came out) and Lindsey, who had been in my team for most of the preseason as M9 but took him out on Friday when teams came out to get some cash for playing rookies. No Smith in my team is a worry but will wait to see what he does this week before I try to get him in.

Hi Trig I’m in your league, thanks for the invite.
Daicos is out of my team. I will pick him up later as an upgrade. Hopefully, he has a few off games to bring his price down. It’s too big of a risk when there are so many other good players to choose from.
I decided to fade Flynn, which meant I could put in a 4th top defender and hopefully take the headache out of the doubtful defender rookies or using a midpricer. Meant I had to rejig my team a little, and I don’t have as many of those high-price rookies in the mids but it’s nice to have a team that has a slightly different look than most I have seen (although my forward line is pretty standard). I’ve gone down the guns and rookies path with not many mid pricers so I will see how I go. Hopefully, I don’t regret not starting the Day, Cerra, Perryman, and Short types.
Good luck to everyone this season, I look forward to matching up against you at some stage in the season. And here’s hoping St Kilda show some green shoots

Reasonably happy with my team although the M1 has rotated btw Bont, Butters, Daicos and now Neale (so many injuries). My big dilemma is D5 spot. Dont have enough $$$ to get a Perryman or Short (have Roberts at D4) so not sure whether to go with a Wagner type player in the 300K range, go a blight/ sinn in the 200K range or be brave, save some $$$ and go Prior, to have 2 defence rookies onfeild. Not sure whether it is worth the $$ going the 300K players but at least you know they will be at least playing or hope 2 of the 4 Def rookies play each week which is very risky. I really dont want to change my team to much but may have to drop Flynn from flex to get to one of the Short types. However, I would then lose potentially a great cash generator. A tough decision to be made.

I didn’t have Bont (too costly) and already had Daicos so no change for me there but have lost a POD for my team. Was putting one of my top priced mids in the flex position but will probably trade out a Peatling type player and swap for FLynn in the flex position. After the weekends effort he looks like WC first ruckman and will make good $$$ if he stays fit. Frees up some money for me as well but not sure how I will spend it. Having trouble filling the D5 position, no real rookies to be confident with and no decent 200-300K defenders. Thinking maybe Sinn or Blight. They will at least get a game. Will be interesting to see what they do with the Brisbane game. If it is rescheduled and so Brisbane isn’t a bye team then some Brisbane players will become interesting. Boy Neale looked good on the weekend.

Hi Everyone, sorry I’ve been a bit slack and haven’t logged into the site for a while. Not sure how everyone else’s team is going, but mine is changing drastically all the time. All these injuries are causing chaos but I didn’t have Bont in my team, had gone Daicos as a POD, and was swapping btw Butters and Rozee, so my decision is now made for me. The dearth of defender rookies and so many good rookies in the midfield but being high-priced, have made selecting my team very tricky. Still not 100% sure what path to take. Good luck to everyone. I’m fearing a very long season supporting the Saints this year after watching their poor effort against Port yesterday and seeing more injuries. It’s going to be a long year again. They do have a few good-priced rookie midfielders to select, but I fear they may be in and out of the team all season so I’m not sure if they will be worth picking. Good luck to everyone this year, and I look forward to playing you in SC Leagues at some stage
