i’m the same, keep not trading in Zorko, waiting for it all to go horribly wrong… but it hasn’t.

my plan was to get him this week, have the money to do it, but looking at a couple of cheaper options like Curnow

    this one is for NDD.

    Salem?

I looked at him when he was $330k. Then he has had scores of 99, 121, 91 & 111.

    Only $437k with DPP.

Petracca out for season, does he get more midfield?

    1. Biggest Surprise (Team)
ESSENDON with their position on the ladder, but the 100.2% is a dead give-away it won’t last

    2. Biggest Surprise (player)
Luke RYAN. he had a good 2023 but all the talk about him not being able to kick more than 40 meters in the pre-season…..

    3. Biggest Disappointment (Team)
RICHMOND how poor they have been

    4. Biggest Disappointment (player)
There are many, for the players i have owned it would be MACRAE. i thought he was still a near-premium scorer. Of the ones i haven’t owned, probably BRAYSHAW who i had last year and was very keen on in preseason

    5. Best SC Trade
    Not many. Finally getting Flanders.

    6. Worst SC Trade
    Harmes to Billings (R2)
    Billings to Powell (R4)

    7. Trades remaining
    10

    8. How many players to get to full premo?
1 in Defence (still don’t have Ryan)
    Have Macrae & Powell at F5 & F6

    9. Player(s) bringing in to finish off team?
Zorko this week and Rankine next week

Won’t have cash to get Ryan, looking at maybe Salem or Mckercher

being a non-Ryan owner, means i have watched him close. A number of times this year he has ‘saved’ his score in one quarter (usually the last). It was unbelievable last quarter last week.

i kept thinking he is about to become a regular 90’s player, any week now….

Having a monopoly on the kick outs is gold as well.

He is going ok for a bloke who pre-season couldn’t kick more than 40 meters.

my team is missing Heeney, Ryan and Butters.

I’m being a cheap-skate and not getting them until now.

My plan is to get Butters this week to finish my midfield or should i just bite the bullet and get Ryan to finish my Defence. (i have Clohesy/Graham to cover D6/M8).

Butters might get a Finn tag and Ryan has the saints.

below average for me, managed 2,305.

traded out Williams (inj), Rozee (inj) and Darcy and traded in Oliver, Martin and Jone.

Oliver was too much value to ignore (just scroll down the names that are ahead of him in price).

Martin i traded out after round 2 and it has been hard watching him

Big fan of jones, had him in team all pre-season until injured.

Didn’t go as planned with Oliver and Martin returning 80’s and Jones having his bad game (didn’t help with Darcy going huge)

Now the early bye rounds have finished, does anyone have any thoughts or statistics to support the starting of non-bye players compared to early bye players.

I had 3. Gawn, Green and Grundy.

Big tick, little tick, tiny tick.

Big misses was Heeney and Rowell.

Was there any other early bye players that were a must in hindsight?

Good to make notes for next year.

    I don’t have Heeney!

    Stupidly avoided early bye players.

Should I get him now at $650k or fix up the other positions first and get him for a bit cheaper later?

Parker probably back this week, might effect him.

Any suggestions for other non-Heeney owners?

i started the season with Harmes and traded him out when he missed round 2 (traded in Billings just as bad)

Harmes has had his two games now, and last week he looked ok, though his SC score was a bit unders.

with the lack of downgrade rookies and now we have best 22, i’m considering bringing him back in this week

any thoughts on Harmes scoring and JS?

darcy was in my team all pre-season. He was locked in until he had a bit of an injury.

he looked fantastic last night and won’t be surprised to see him get a decent run of games

Wilson was good. happy i held him, he is quick and runs hard. should get to $300k and be a solid 60 each week if needed

I’m going against one of the first rules of SC and going early on rookies.

jumped on Clothesy and Graham last week so i could get Flanders in (had $2k left in bank)

This week i’ve gone early on Garcia and Nyuon so i can afford Daicos. I could go Comben, but it would leave me $13k in bank, so will go early on Nyuon and bank $120k for next week.

i think there might be a Richmond rookie on bubble next week, but not much else
