This is not a comprehensive look at the matches and the results as there are numerous articles out there that do that.

This is our take something unique to THP so a brief summary (sometimes play on words) of each game.

Blues V Hawks
That title says it all!
Unfortunately the blues lived up to their name and had crucial turnovers in middle of the ground or coming out of the backline,
Was a better effort but cant make mistakes like that against the precision hawks. They make you pay every time.
Superman’s shoulder must be sore as he carried the team once again on his shoulders

Dogs v Magpies
308 free kicks err sorry 308 games for pendles and sidey together – fantastic effort for the champion servants of the club.
Sidey even turned back the clock for a 10 minute game changing burst
Jamara watching from afarara – 100 years a big deal to most but not all

Crows v Bombers
Again all in the title something to crow about and the bombers bombed.
Do crows finally have the Keays to success?
One word Messendon – looked all at sea against the polished crows with the 3 headed monster forward firing on all cylinders.
Zerrett and the crouching one off to a flyer to start the year

Power v Tiges
Lights out as the cubs brought to earth
Whole lotta Rozee finally fit and firing

Saints v Cats
Saints holler for Marshall as the big man delivers a Big win for the Saints on the fast deck
Jack who was off last year was on Sat night – who would have thought you play an inside mid as an inside mid?
Smith not worth a bag of chips as he sat on the sidelines

Lions v Eagles
As the Lions stood around sweating in the midday heat and admiring the premiership flag the Eagles decided that there was a game of footy to be played – off to a flyer
Neale before me looks at team sheet no tagger – party time, time to get leather poisoning.
Harley reminds the crowd that he was pick number 1 with the one digit

Kangas V Demons
North heading North.
Join in the Chorus! Have the roos finally arrived?
Run the dees off their legs under the roof
The cake has been cooking for while in the oven, is it finally ready?
Could Tristian be the Xerri on top?

Swans v Freo
Heartbreak out west as siren crushes fans
You’ve been Warnered dominates in the home state with some very interested onlookers taking notes.

Final Word:
Harley splutters as Bruce just warming up.
Reid all about it – there is a new Reid in town in the West.
This kid is all class when you have Pendleburyesk traits you have to sit up and take notice.
He seems to have all the time in the world and never wastes a disposal which is very rare on the footy field.
Gonna put it out there – Real smokie for the Rising Star
He should have won round 1 how many other kids on debut kick 4 and nearly turn the game – Lalor was good but not that good.
