To quote one of my favourite movies

Lock stock and two smoking barrels:

    Don’t worry don’t panic.

Response: I am panicking and I’m off!

Let’s just jump straight in to the panic section.

    Gawn – Gone
    Heeney – Gone
    Rankine – Gone
    Miller – Gone
    Howe – Gone
    Darcy – Gone
    McGovern – Gone

Those top 3-4 names are enough to make anyone panic especially when the two top fwds are missing,

    So what do you do?

If have cover maybe just play the cover and take the hit in score
Save trades as Heeney will be back next week, and Gawn is a chance apparently despite not being able to walk at the moment

Don’t have cover but have trades – trade, trade, trade this will give you a let up on just about every other team

Have some cover and precious little trades, this where I find myself.
I have to trade Rankine as out for 4 – Caldwell is the obvious choice here.

So if you find yourself at the pointy end or need a league win or two you have to trade to keep within touch of those teams around you.

As everyone is in the same boat cant see too many teams doing a luxury trade with an underperforming premo, it will be trade by necessity this week.
The sextons of the world may survive the executors axe another week.

Good luck gang, may the elephant trunk remain up.
