Wilson has been a great pickup by the Saints and hoping he keeps developing and improving as he has impressed so far. Not as good as Reid though, he is a standout but should be able to match it with Windsor and Sanders I hope. Hopefully, Wilson doesn’t go backwards as Phillipou has this year though.
May 19, 2024 at 7:51 pm #1809Russty_ParticipantHey Kat, I reckon Phillipou should go back to the seconds and have to earn his place back in the side, he was spoilt his first year, pretty much telling him, you’re already good enough to stay in the seniors but he wasn’t really.
May 19, 2024 at 7:52 pm #1810trigshp_adminParticipantcrikey phillipou has gone backwards
May 19, 2024 at 8:19 pm #1812KatParticipantThink youre right Russty, he played one game in the 2’s last week and then we played so terribly that he got a recall but think he needs to spend more time there. Probably lucky that the club was/is going down the developing youth path so was given games which he would not have gotten in a team that had more depth. This season has been very disappointing but we have had a few injuries to key players like Wood that hasn’t helped and think we have missed Higgins during his suspension, but boy we have really gone backwards this year so far
May 20, 2024 at 2:48 pm #1813trigshp_adminKeymasterSurely HUGO gets a game this week 27 disposals and 10 crunching tackles says it all .I am keeping him
May 21, 2024 at 9:33 pm #1814Russty_ParticipantSame here Neil, keeping him, should get back in the side, hey do you think Freija is a good trade in?
May 22, 2024 at 9:55 am #1815KatParticipantI’m keeping him as well. Think he will get a recall at some stage. Tough call btw Freija and Richards. Freija is less $$$ and DPP is very handy but not sure how long he stays with Sanders surely to come back at some stage. Richard’s has more $ to make but costs more and not DPP and Pues have a lot of injuries at the moment. Interested to hear what others think
May 22, 2024 at 11:52 am #1816trigshp_adminKeymasterI have gone both Richards and FRejah .we are surely going to find it hard to get to full without one or both. I like gator’s idea of getting rid of these types and going for the mid pricers or older rookies like Sexton /fishers. Gator will have 18 to 19 real prems and the others Fisher types where as we or me will have more but 2 or 3 FRejah types getting 40 ‘s I recall Russty saying you have to prioritize getting rid of onfield rookies I didn’t read his book and it cost me big time/I have legit prems at def, mids, and Rucks but only 2 fwds Heeney and Jackson and relying on Sexton and Powell but it’s the f5 and 6 that kill me
