Let’s have a look back at what we got right, what surprised us and where we went wrong.

Let us know your thoughts on the topics below.

    1. Biggest Surprise (Team)
Has to be Sydney no one would have had them two games clear at the halfway point surely.
Special mention to the hawks who are coming with a rush.

    2. Biggest Surprise (player)
I got Jake Waterman here. Was nearly on the scrap heap last year now in contention for the Coleman and plays for West Coast.

    3. Biggest Disappointment (Team)
Going with the crows here. What has happened to the highest scoring team?

    4. Biggest Disappointment (player)
Got a couple. Nick Larkey. Gone from almost winning the Coleman last year to hardly getting a touch this year (with arguably a better midfield) except against WC on the weekend.
Clarry looks a shadow of himself.

    5. Best SC Trade
Oh Errol. He has been huge since I brought him in. Just getting better and warming up for rest of season.

    6. Worst SC Trade
Jordon Sweet. Man that went sour. Traded Xerri to Sweet and brought in Rowell. What a dud trade that was. Only needed him to play 5-6 games up to his bye. Think he played 3. So had to play Jackson in ruck and a rookie on field in fwd line.
    Disaster.
Rowell hasn’t exactly set the world on fire either.
Xerri been gr8 all the way through..

    7. Trades remaining
    13

    8. How many players to get to full premo?
1-2 in fwd line but who is premo other than big 2-3?

    9. Player(s) bringing in to finish off team?
    Rankine after his bye.

    10. Good luck for rest of season!

1 BIGGEST SURPRISE TEAM well how can you go past the bloods, well coach probable brownlow best mids ,and still 3 to return lay down misere this one.

2 BIGGEST SURPRISE PLAYER another easy one for me I.HEENEY brownlow favourite plays mid and fwds well in form yep he will do me special mention to sexton

3 BIGGEST DISSAPOINTMENT TEAM Gold coast Suns have been too up and down for a team on the peripherie of the eight Loaded with talent great coach witts so poor when they need to perform

4 BEST S/C TRADE DALE W B Got me interested early and never looked back thanks

5 Trades left If I take Russty’s advice 13 but after a horrendous round Clarry has to go also graham to Dowling to enable Oliver to Neale deal . Normally I would keep Clarry but he looks puffy out of condition disinterested and poor clearance choices . never have I prayed I am COMPLETELY WRONG

6 Iplayer to full and that player is E. RICHARDS swinging FLANDERS FORWARD ..

great topic trig and isn’t it good to see so many JOCK REYNOLDS COACHES performing well >They are still there Tophawk Shake I counted 30 from my leagues and they don’t know we are here ready for some banter cheers

Dale has been gold for you mate as you got him at a bargain basement price.

Pity coz I reckon the old JR crew would really enjoy the topics and mixing with the crew.

    1. Biggest Surprise (Team)
ESSENDON with their position on the ladder, but the 100.2% is a dead give-away it won’t last

    2. Biggest Surprise (player)
Luke RYAN. he had a good 2023 but all the talk about him not being able to kick more than 40 meters in the pre-season…..

    3. Biggest Disappointment (Team)
RICHMOND how poor they have been

    4. Biggest Disappointment (player)
There are many, for the players i have owned it would be MACRAE. i thought he was still a near-premium scorer. Of the ones i haven’t owned, probably BRAYSHAW who i had last year and was very keen on in preseason

    5. Best SC Trade
    Not many. Finally getting Flanders.

    6. Worst SC Trade
    Harmes to Billings (R2)
    Billings to Powell (R4)

    7. Trades remaining
    10

    8. How many players to get to full premo?
1 in Defence (still don’t have Ryan)
    Have Macrae & Powell at F5 & F6

    9. Player(s) bringing in to finish off team?
Zorko this week and Rankine next week

Won’t have cash to get Ryan, looking at maybe Salem or Mckercher
