After tonight I’m gonna go with Heeney. Way unders for a pure mid who delivered what he did tonight against one of the best midfield around. He looks super fit injury free and primed for a HUGE year.

Grundy tap to Heeney was common place

Hi Trigg, Heeney was fantastic last night. one of my favorite players to watch and would love to have him in my team. I’m trying to stay away from the early bye round players, so i probably won’t go there. But he is a beautiful human.

I have had Macrae at F1 since the start. i have been like Bart at Camp Krusty, believing he will turn up. Looking at the list or forwards he is the only one there that ticks the boxes for me. He didn’t play any of the practice matches so i’m reluctant to start him without seeing how he fits into the Dogs midfield.

I have tinkered with the idea of starting 3 of the ‘value’ forwards (Fyfe, McKenzie, Harmes, Jordon, Billings) and going an extra premium (4 instead of 3) in defense.

Darcy going down and making Jackson relevant makes me very interested, even if it gives me a chance to see how Macrae is going and banking the points and cash that Jackson can deliver in the first 4 weeks while darcy is out.

Right now, Jackson is F1. Fyfe, Jordon, Reid, sexton & Wilson make up the forward line.

Very similar to my fwd line Derek, Jackson which i’ve had from day one and not moving, Fisher, Fyfe, Jordan, Reid and Sexton.

There’s so many ifs and buts about the fwd line this year, we’ll just have to ride the roller coaster for a while I think.

people were hot on Fisher very early, haven’t considered him, didn’t see the practice game, but he scored ok. I’ve got Sheezel, so got north defense covered.

Fisher played very well against the Saints, I must admit I was very bullish on him from the start, But after seeing what he can produce roaming around the backline and running through the guts and his delivery was very good.. It’s good enough from me. He may produce the odd 80’s but still good enough to make cash.. Who knows he might be the keeper that Ziebell was.

Why all the kudos for FYFE

Fyfe back in the guts is good for footy but his role has changed.

He sees the ball and dishes it off, doesn’t tackle much and definitely not quick burst from stoppage..

So not sure being handball happy will go with SC. Young is normally on the receiving end so jump on board.

I do like Cam McKenzie for the same price as fyfe. He looked OK in the praccy game the other day. Got plenty of the pill and used it well.

Derek your thoughts on this hawker?
