KeymasterCARLTON CRASHES as TIGERS TRIUMP
The BLUES were outplayed outcoached and out scored by an adrenalin filled tigers outfit ably led by NANK THE TANK or were they ? YZE most definitely won the coaches battle with some telling moves after half time .Whilst high marking BAUER onto the rampant WEITERING kept him honest for the rest of the game YZE preferred to “keep some moves to myself’. Voss on the other hand had a shocker ,Why played yours and the leagues best in form player ,CRIPPS ,in the widow making ruck role when he had two expendable soldiers at his behest SILVAGNI , playing his first game in yonks and a proven backup ruck and a sadly wasted talent in McKAY lamenting trying to kick goals 15 metres out and MISSING, both would have served the team better. Once the Tiges kicked that score equalling goal on 3/4 time ,they were never going to lose .For the BLUES BOG TDK was brilliant and once again showed why he is the heir apparent to GAWN , Special mention to PHILLIP ISLAND great ‘the DOC who needed to come on much earlier and nearly pinched it for his team. With all this the Blues has many chances to win the contest but poor kicking ,some of which was inexcusable ,killed any chance. What for the rest of the season ? CARLTON will gleam more from this result than RICHMOND I have little doubt .Whilst the blues will figure in the finals, with a fit CURNOW ,the TIGES will win a few and present a contest in many games but it is a year of growth for the young talent such as LALOR who had a pearler.I was impressed with young TRAINOR as well and there were others too who will get much better. With TASSIE about to leach all the talent ,perhaps the TIGER trust plan has or will be the envy of us all. They appear to have enough ” old shoulders ” for the cubs to learn off . A great opening to round one NDD-

ParticipantBest player for Richmond Nick Haynes.
If he doesn’t play the blues win, reckon he cost them at least 4 goals!
Too many blues had too many turnovers, fumbles and jitters and dropped marks! Over hand balled to get out of trouble.
A calamity.

Participanti agree with Haynes. i have him in a couple of drafts so was watching him close, he fumbled nearly every time he touched the ball.

ParticipantCerra’s score slowed when Docherty came on. He went straight to the guts and Cerra went to the bench.

ParticipantMight be a tight tussle for wooden spooners Blues or Saints. TDK might look alright in the Red White and Black next year if the blues dish up this every week.
